For this session, we’ll be joined by officers from the Safer Neighbourhoods Policing Team for the Brook Green, Addison, and Avonmore wards. They’ll be joining us for a conversation with parent carers about keeping children, young people and adults with SEND safe, both in everyday situations and as they grow more independent, travelling to school or work and start living alone.
The team will share what local policing looks like for families, how SEND needs are taken into account, and simple steps that can help support children, young people and adults with SEND stay safe in the community. Topics will range from everyday safety to wider issues that families may have questions about.
There will be time to ask questions, raise any concerns, and have a discussion. But feel free to come along to meet the team and just have a listen. Your views and experiences are also really valuable and helpful to local policing services better understand and respond to the needs of SEND families.
