On Wednesday 4th February 2026, Parentsactive officially launched its new Wellbeing Programme at the Invention Rooms, White City, bringing together parent carers, partners, and local organisations for a morning focused on emotional, practical, and therapeutic support.

Funded by North West London ICB, the programme has been designed in direct response to what parent carers tell us they need most: time, space, and accessible support that recognises the realities of caring.

The launch event offered an overview of the different strands of support that will run throughout the year, alongside practical information on how parent carers can take part, and shared broader ideas on wellbeing, focusing on small, achievable steps that fit around caring responsibilities.

In supporting the programme, Rebeccah Clews, Senior Delivery Manager at NHS North West London, said: ‘NHS NWL ICB is pleased to support Parentsactive in providing their Parent-Carer Wellbeing programme for a further year. We appreciate the hard work of Parentsactive to develop such a comprehensive package of support, designed with the needs of parent-carers in mind. The Parent-Carer Wellbeing programme will support parent-carers directly, and that will, in turn produce better outcomes for children and young people.’

A joined-up approach to wellbeing

We are pleased to be working in partnership with West London Action for Children (WLAC), who will be delivering individualised therapy sessions for parent carers as part of the programme. At the event, WLAC shared more about what these sessions will involve and how parent carers can access this support.

We also heard from HFEH Mind, who spoke about different types of mental health support available locally, helping to demystify what support exists and how to access it.

NHS Talking Therapies introduced their free support offer for adults aged 18+, and led a short mini-workshop on improving low mood during winter, which many attendees found practical and reassuring.

Rounding out the session, Community Massage London shared their work as a social enterprise offering complementary therapies.

Together, these partners form a holistic wellbeing offer, recognising that parent carer wellbeing is not one-size-fits-all and often requires different types of support at different times.

Walk & Talk Programme

As part of the Wellbeing Programme, we also launched a new series of Walk and Talk sessions. Held fortnightly during term time on Mondays at 9.30am, these gentle walks alternate between Ravenscourt Park and the riverside by Riverside Studios.  There’s no agenda and no expectation; just fresh air and the comfort of shared experience. Parents can simply join the walk, or stay afterwards for a relaxed coffee and chat. It’s about creating a space to connect, move a little, and feel less alone. To find out more please contact info@parentsactive.org.uk.

We’d like to thank everyone who joined us, spoke on the day, and supported the launch. More information about upcoming wellbeing activities will be shared soon.
